Storytelling support

The project received feedback from:

Ben Haggarty, Artistic Director and the founder of the UK's Crick-Crack Club, the UK's premier performance storytelling promoter and programme.

Chuck Kruger, founding father of the Cape Clear's International Story Telling Festival and organizer of Cape Clear's story telling workshops.

Clare Murphy, international performance storyteller. Clare served on the Steering Group for FEST, the Federation of European Storytelling.

Pat Speight, one of Ireland's best known storytellers, carrying on the timeless art and oral tradition of storytelling for young and old. Living in Cork where he is a member of the local Yarnspinning group.

The story has benefitted from Graeme Pullyen's and Walter Janssens' artistic direction.

Scientific support

The scientific aspect is supported by the involvement of Professor M. Schellekens and Engineer Gerry Clancy. The project also relies on feedback from the office of the Vice President for Research, UCC, Professor Anita Maguire, who facilitates contacting scientists whose work involves an inspiring story. At a national level, we have the support of Science Foundation Ireland and the Office of the Scientific Advisor to the Government.

Educational support

Gerry Clancy has taught Science and Engineering to children aged 6 to 8, and 8 to 13 years old as part of the DCU Irish Centre for Talented Youth Programme at UCC for a number of years. We have a strong collaboration in Cork with the Eureka Centre, headed by Professor Pat Fitzpatrick. The center deals with primary and secondary schools, offering physics, maths and chemistry labs for children as well as continued education for teachers. Nationally we also rely on Science Foundation Ireland.
